The most important thing

Images and videos you select for optimization are processed locally on your device. Optimeaux does not upload, store, retain, or inspect your media with AI.

What never leaves your device

• Your image and video files — they are processed in-browser and never uploaded.
• Your file names — never sent to our servers.
• EXIF or metadata from your media — stripped through re-encoding, never transmitted.
• The contents of your media — never inspected by AI or otherwise.

What we do collect

To operate a real traffic counter and platform statistics, Optimeaux collects limited, anonymous aggregate data:

• Anonymous site visits (one per browser per day, via a random session UUID — no IP address, no fingerprinting).
• Aggregate counts of successful image and video optimizations.
• Aggregate bytes saved across the platform.
• Anonymous sponsor ad impressions and clicks (campaign + session only).

Sponsor inquiries

When you voluntarily submit a sponsorship inquiry, the information you provide (name, company, email, website, message) is stored so we can respond. It is never made public.

Admin and sponsor data

Administrator account information and sponsor creative assets (advertisements) may be stored in our database and storage. These belong to the platform and sponsors — not to visitors optimizing media.

Honesty about data transmission

We do not claim that nothing ever leaves your browser, because the anonymous counters and forms above do transmit data. What we promise is precise: your media never leaves your device, and the only data transmitted is anonymous, aggregate, and never personally identifying your files.

Local preferences

Optimeaux stores your theme preference, last image preset, last rename settings, and an anonymous session UUID in your browser's localStorage. No media is ever persisted locally.
